Pre-training and breaking
Whether we are breaking a yearling or a three-year-old store horse, at Mark Grant Racing we tailor the process to the individual horse. Some horses need longer than others and the main aim is to make sure the horse returns to it’s trainer‘s yard with an excellent education to allow them to fulfil to their full potential.
A vast number of winners have been broken and pre-trained at Mark Grant Racing, prolific winners include;

Our process
Mark’s horsemanship is well known and often horses are sent to Mark Grant Racing after others have unsuccessfully tried to break them.
To date, Mark has always managed to break and get even the trickiest individual riding away to a standard where he 'can' confidently return the horse back to its trainer. Bring able to back and ride every horse himself sets Mark apart from others in his field,and even though we have a fantastic team of riders, initially Mark backs every horse himself, so that he can ensure each horse is getting an education tailored to their indivdual needs.
